FACTS ABOUT PEN CAMERAS: There are many vendors selling pen cameras and they all look the same. That is because manufacturers in China who make the internal of the camera, use same housing to cut the cost down. There are 3 factors that determines the quality of the camera.
1) Camera Resolution in Pixels: there are 4 cameras that are used: 300KP, 1.0MP, 1.3MP & 2.0MP. Even when the camera can record on 640 X 480 resolution, the video will be fuzzy with 300KP camera sensor. Sample 1 It's like viewing a low resolution video in full screen mode. The result is still fuzzy. These cameras are often sold under $100. We do not carry it.
2) Recording Resolution: Not as important as the camera resolution but when more than 1.0MP camera sensor is used, recording at 640 X 480 will be a lot better than 320 X 240. Sample 2.
3) Reliability: Depending on where a vendor buy from, defective rate can be from 1% to 30%. We guaranty our pen cameras for 1 year. Don't get stuck with a cheap model!
